Barrie Minor Peewee AA Colts bring home the gold
The Minor Peewee AA Colts, playing in an older age group, battled and won a hard fought championship game against the Muskegon Chiefs to win the Pittsburgh Fall Classic this past weekend.
Finishing first in the round robin with 2-1-0 record, the Colts faced the Chiefs who they had lost to in their opening game. After a tense 3 periods of hockey, the Colts went into overtime with a 2-2 tie. With no scoring in overtime, the game came down to a final shoot-out. With stellar goaltending from Taylor Prokopec, the Colts were able to secure the win with a goal from Nicholas Mideros.
