Season Update #8
Submitted By Steve Fontaine on Sunday, July 25, 2021
We recently sent out an email to all of our members of the 2020-2021 season, if you have not received this email it is posted below.

BMHA IS TARGETING OPENING REGISTRATION THIS WEEK!!

Just a quick message to let all of our members know that we are targeting to open registration for our house league programs as well as our REP tryouts this week, so please stay tuned! We will be sending another email to confirm when registration will be live, but we wanted to ensure that all of our members are kept in the loop. Planning this season has had its challenges and as we move forward from the 2020-2021 COVID season, we are hopeful and excited that this season will be similar to the hockey that our BMHA family knew before the pandemic.

To prepare for when registration opens, please go to Hockey Canada sign up page to create a new login and password. Hockey Canada is using a new registration portal this season, so please take a minute to visit the page to ensure your login credentials are valid to make registration easier for you when the time comes. Please note, you can use the same email/password as you’ve used in the past but you do need to set it up within the new system. Tutorials on how to use the new Hockey Canada registration portal are available HERE

***IMPORTANT-you are not trying to create a new Hockey Canada ID number, just creating a login***

ATTENTION SPRINGWATER RESIDENTS:
In consultation with the city of Barrie, BMHA sought clarification pertaining to the participation of Springwater residents in our programming. There is an agreement between the township of Springwater and the city of Barrie to waive the non-resident fee for RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS ONLY, this does not apply to organized sports. If you are registering your child to play within the BMHA there is a $35 fee per participant that must be paid upon registration.

This coming season’s timelines will look a little different than they have in the past with tryouts for all divisions starting in the fall. Our ice scheduler is working hard to finalize ice schedules while working with the City and the other ice user groups to fit all of our programs in. Please note, we will post the schedules as soon as they are confirmed. Please continue to watch our website for updates and be ready to register this week when we are able to make registration live!
