Finalists in Cobourg!
Congratulations to the Cube-It Minor PeeWee AE Barrie Colts on bringing home silver from the Justin Williams Tournament!
The team finished 3-0 in the round robin, defeating the Ajax Knights 10-0, the Oakville Rangers 6-0 and the Peterborough Petes 6-2. They came out strong in the semi-final Sunday morning, defeating the Aurora Tigers 5-0 and earning a spot in the final against the host team, the Northumberland Nighthawks. The championship game was close with Barrie only losing by 1 goal, 3-2.
It was a fantastic weekend overall, with the boys bonding quickly and encouraging each other both on and off the ice. Barrie had 184 shots on net and only 54 shots against, finishing with 29 goals for and only 5 against. They played as a team unit and the coaching staff could not be more proud!
Thank you to all of the families for their support over the weekend. It was a great start to the season!
