The U11 Select Colts went to Collingwood for their first game of 2023.
The Colts had a 10 day break from hockey and showed signs of rust as the first period ended 2-1. By the end of the second the rust was slowing coming off and the score was even at 2-2. However, a broken play with 3 minutes to go in regulation Collingwood squeaked one by the Colts net keeper making it 3-2.
The Colts pulled their goalie with 1:25 to go and had a few great chances, but the Collingwood Goal tender was able to keep the puck out.
Let's not forget to mention that Coach Mike gave out poor directions to the rink (meaning, wrong rink) so luckily the parents were on the ball and got all the kids to the proper rink and dressed on time!!!!
Next game is January 6th in Orangeville.
