U9 Colts Help Children Fighting Cancer This Christmas
When our U9 gold hockey team learned about a child recently diagnosed with cancer right before Christmas we quickly rallied to put together a Christmas Box for this family.

With pure determination and grit that we see from these kids on the ice, and only one day notice...

Our team quickly and generously exceeded our goal of 3 gifts and collectively donated: - 14 toys for 4 & 6 year old boys - NHL 2023 for teens - Family pajamas - David's travel mug & tea  - Over $500 in cash & gift cards We even received a donation from one of our families currently on vacation in another country!

Candlelighters Simcoe helps the 50+ families every Christmas that have a child fighting cancer. Their goal is to give Christmas boxes for the entire family. "Every family deserves a reason to smile this Christmas!" says one of our players. We hope this post will inspire every hockey team to get involved in their community and be golden on and off the ice.
