Fantastic Weekend for MPW Select 1 in Bradford Tournament
Great weekend for the team....they battled hard and won 2 (Nickel City Jets 5-2 and Milton Winterhawks 5-1), and tied 1 (Nickel City Sting 3-3) during the round robin of 6 teams. Finished tied with 5 points with the Nickel City Sting. Played their final game against Nickel City Sting...rematch...
The boys were nervous, and the first shift reflected that...the Sting came out and scored 2 quick goals on the boys. They settled down, and kept the Sting from scoring the rest of the game..and netting 4 goals themselves. Great work by the entire team throughout the tournament...Players of the games went to Andrew D, Noah R, Jace C, and Patrick N...Player of the tournament went to Patrick N. We were missing James N for the final game, and the boys really wanted to win this for him. Thanks to our outstanding coaching staff, and our very dedicated parents to ensure we had a successful tournament.
