Buffalo Harborcenter Cup Minor Atom AA Champions
What a fantastic experience for all the families and players with a tournament that was very well run.
Our Barrie Colts went undefeated in the tournament with a total team effort coming from all the boys working together, having fun, playing hard and applying the systems they were taught.
The boys scored 36 goals in 4 round robin games including 2 shutouts coming from both goalies. We faced a challenging Amherst Knights team in the semi finals who we edged 2-1 moving on to face an even stronger Cleveland Barons team in the Championship. The Championship game was what every hockey fan loves to watch. The experience that these boys faced and went through will create memories that last a life time. From character building to the experience of announcing the starting lineup skating to the blue line, to singing of both national anthems, to player announcements throughout the game on goals and assists, to playing a sudden death 4on4 overtime, another sudden death 3on3 overtime, and then to shootouts coming down to a third and final opposing player who was shut down to become the tournament CHAMPIONS…just incredible. All the boys played their hearts out and learned how to compete, battle and win a championship.
Way to go boys! I look forward to see what you bring for the remainder of the year.
