Atom AA's Win in Belle River
The Blue Moon Marine Atom AA Colts, had a weekend they won't soon forget.
The weekend started for many of the boys as they watched the Red Wings arrive in their cars for AM practice. The boys were then able to take in the Wings Game Day practice, followed by the Phoenix Coyotes Game day practice. Next up, the boys were treated to a private tour of the Detroit Red Wings dressing room, by none other than Red Wings great, Kris Draper. Later that night, many parents and players watched as the Red Wings dismantled the Coyotes 5-1 on home ice.
The next day we began what would be a great run over the weekend. Outscoring our competition a combined 25-6 over 6 games, and never once trailing in a game, the Blue Moon Marine Atom AA Colts claimed the tournament championship with a convincing, 4-0 win over host Belle River Canadiens. A great weekend was had by all, and certainly not one many of these boys will forget for a long time.
