The Original Mom's Restaurant Atom A Team Are Silver Stick Finalists
What a great experiance for Atom A team this past weekend finishing 2nd out of 16 teams from around Ontario and USA. The team started out the weekend playing Milton Winterhwks, Fort Wayne Komets and North Jersey Avalanche finising first in there loop. Our quarter final game was against the Milton Winterhawks and we won 6-1, then our semi final game was a match vs the San Jose JR Sharks and it was a battle down to the last second and we won 3-2, then in the final game we came out very strong an took a 2-0 lead in the first period, then hung on to a 3-2 lead after the second period but couldnt hold on against a very strong Krivo Hockey team from Colorado who were the oods on favorite to win this tournament from the begining. Coach Tim was very impressed with the way the team played this tournament and the team was rewarded for their play by having 3 players selected to the Silver Stick All-Star team.
