2015-2016 Minor Atom AE York Simcoe Champions!
Congratulations to the Lifestyle Dentistry, Minor Atom AE Barrie Colts for winning the 2015-2016 York Simcoe Championship!
From the beginning of the year to the end of the year, the boys did a great job working as a team. With the Championship series tied 2-2, we were off to Aurora on Sunday and in game 5 the boys came out focused and determined. They jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back, defeating Aurora 5-1 to capture the York Simcoe Championship! Go Colts Go!
The coaching staff would like to thank the boys for working hard and trying their best all season long. They represented themselves, the coaching staff, their families and the BMHA organization with exemplary class all year. They put together a 27-3 regular season to lead the league, and then followed up with an amazing 18 game playoff run, capped by a great Championship series. Congratulations to all the players, coaching staff and families! We are extremely proud of the boys and they should be extremely proud of themselves and all of their accomplishments this year.
By winning the York Simcoe Championship, our Barrie Colts have earned a birth in the Lakeshore Cup challenge. The Lakeshore Cup challenge features the Champions of the York Simcoe League (Barrie Colts) vs. the Champions of the Lakeshore Hockey League (Whitby Wildcats). This one day, 2 game challenge will take place on Saturday April 9th in Coburg, please stay tuned for further details. Go Colts Go!
