Atom A PowerPlay Champions
Congratulations to the Atom A Barrie Colts for winning the Guelph PowerPlay Tournament Championship!
The Colts had a great start to the tournament going 4-0 through the round robin with wins over Fort Erie (5-0), Meadowvale (6-0), St. Thomas (11-1), and Midland (3-2). This put the Colts in first place and set up a semi final game against New Hamburg which the Colts won by a score of 6-2.
The championship game was a rematch with Midland. The game was scoreless through the first period and the Colts finally managed to get on the board and took a 1-0 lead in the second. After a strong penalty kill to start the third period, the team put in two more goals in the final minutes of the game to take the championship by a score of 3-0.
Congratulations to the Atom A Colts on their first championship of the season!
