Once again the Barrie Peewee Select team battled hard this weekend and won the Barrie Minor Hockey Association Pro Oil Change House League Select Tournament. They won their first four games against Ancaster 7-1, Acton 7-2, Coronation 5-2 and Centre Wellington 3-1. This put the boys first overall and got them to the semi-finals where they beat Simcoe 9-1. The final was not only a rematch against Centre Wellington from earlier in the tournament but a rematch of the final of the Centre Wellington Tournament from November. Barrie pulled away early but Centre Wellington fought back and ended up tying it 4-4 with less than a minute left in the game. A breakout early in overtime resulted in a win for Barrie! Congratulations to all the boys!
