Third Tournament is the Charm
What a way to end the season....Hats off to these 17 boys who worked as a team to take home the Shamrock Tournament Trophy.
3 round robin games (well close enough) against, Goulding Park, West Hill and Erindale (they had to forfeit the game because they got their dates mixed up). Winning 3-0, 3-2 and 4-0, they were on to the Semi against Halton Hills, very close game, but the boys came through with a 3-2 win. The finals gave the boys the chance to play Erindale, and they were ready. They were up 2-0 after 2 periods, halfway through the third, Erindale came back and tied it up. 1st overtime, 4 on 4, for 3 minutes, the clock wound down, and it was still tied. 2nd overtime, 3 on 3, halfway through, Team Captain, Aidan Sander Silver, got a hold of the puck, (all the parents watching, their nerves probably already shot), drove to the net and put the puck in the net....before he knew what happened, the entire team jumped on him in celebration. What a way to end the season. The team went 16-0 in their 3 tournaments, with a 20 game winning streak. Thanks to the Coaches, Tom and Mark, the Trainers, Matt and Nick. Thanks to all the parents for supporting the team from start to finish...
