PeeWee Colts Win the Red Hats!
After eliminating the TNT Tornadoes in four games, and the first place Newmarket Redmen also in four, the Colts eliminated a feisty Kingston Canadiens team, beating them 3 games to 1. This set the stage where the Colts would have the unenviable task of being the first team in three years to take the OMHA crown back from the Milton Winterhawks.

Assistant coach Bob Drury weighed in with his thoughts, “Although this team has had tremendous success with 6 tournament wins over the past 2 years this OMHA Championship was the most difficult goal to achieve. The amount of hard work, dedication and the sacrifice at key times throughout this long playoff run by every player on the team, and also by a coaching staff that was such a pleasure to be a part of, was truly remarkable. The work habits of this group are incredible, and I am so proud of them and thrilled that it ultimately resulted in these kids winning an OMHA Championship in front of their proud families! I love that this group will have this common bond with each other as they move forward and take future challenges.”

Barrie won all three games on the road, handing the Winterhawks a 3-1 loss in game 5, and winning the red hats!

The parents would like to thank the coaches: Brown, Drury, Palbiski, Texmo and Martell, and Manager Deb Britton. The team would also like to thank their sponsors, Blue Moon Marine.

We are looking forward to the OHF tournament in Kitchener on April 12-14.

Way to go, Colts!!!
