Barrie Colts Novice A advance to OMHA quarter-finals
The Barrie Colts Novice A team have advanced to the second
round of the OMHA playoffs.
The Colts finished the regular season with a record 16-10-2 for 34 points, tying them for fourth place with the Georgina Blaze.
In the first-round of the OMHA playoffs, Barrie was put in a group with the Richmond Hill Stars and Georgina. The Colts started the series with a 4-2 win over Richmond Hill at home before tying Georgina 4-4 on the road. Ten days later the Colts hosted Georgina at home and were able to overcome a 2-0 deficit to win 3-2. Barrie then claimed first place in the group by beating the Stars on the road.
Barrie will now take on the Orillia Terriers in the OMHA quarter-finals which begin Feb. 16 in the Sunshine City.
