Novice A - Win Tournament in Niagara Falls!
The Barrie Novice A Team traveled to Niagara
Falls this past weekend to compete in the Niagara Falls Novice Tournament and
they left as the champions!
Their first game on Friday was against the home town Niagara Falls Flyers and Barrie came out on top 9-1. The second match was against the South Muskoka Bears and the Colts won 3-2. The third game was against the Peterborough Petes and the Colts ended up with a 5-0 win!
This placed the Novice A boys in the semi-finals where they faced Niagara Falls again. Barrie had a 2-0 lead in the second and then in the third the Flyers tied the game. With a minute – thirty-three left, the Colts scored and although the Flyers came to play the Colts ended with a 3-2 victory advancing them into the finals.
The Colts faced the South Muskoka Bears in the final game and scored three third period goals to win the championship game 3-0!
We are so proud of our boys, they all worked hard and stayed determined to bring home the gold.
