Barrie U16 Select team brought home the GOLD this weekend at the
Peggy Hill Showcase! Their road to success includes four round-robin wins, an intense semi-final battle, and an epic final victory. Fifteen players played hard in front of two stellar goalies. Coaches Dave, Cory, Steve, and Jeff are proud of the teamwork, sportsmanship, and class the boys displayed.
Our defence pairs of Wyatt and Laughlin, Jake and Jackson, and Owen and Noah displayed unstoppable passing skills, breakout finesse, and strong shots from the point. The forwards dazzled the fans with superior dekes and dangles. Logan, Trent, Holden and Luca, Makye, Nathan and Seamus, Cam, and Travis kept the pressure on, fighting hard in the corners. Goalies Hudson and Nick had everyone's back with phenomenal puck tracking and stand-on-their-head effort. Our injured player, Nick, held the helm of the stands, cheering on his brothers to victory!
