PEEWEES GOBBLE UP UNLUCKY SHAMROCKS AT THANKSGIVING CLASSIC
The Barrie Colts Peewee 'A' team sponsored by Image Dental Labs entered the Rochester Thanksgiving Classic this past weekend. In the 3 game round robin, the Colts were undefeated allowing only 2 goals and advancing to the finals on Sunday. In the Championship game, they faced the North Franklin Shamrocks in an exciting battle. The Shamrocks' luck ran out early with 2 quick goals from the Colts in the first 6 minutes of the game. The Colts held the lead and finally trumped the Shamrocks with a 4-2 victory. Both goalies, James Tower and Blake White, had a phenomenal tournament! Third time's a charm! After finishing as Silver medalists in 2 previous tournaments, the Colts finally brought home the GOLD!
The team roster includes Blake White, James Tower, Caleb Wallis, Brett Busby, Nick Francoeur, William Howard, Grace Semmens, Tanner Kowalski, Hutton Burgess, Aiden Pethick, Connor Torrie, Franco Protopapas, Jack Rowsell, Reza Khonsari, Regan Carpenter, Owen Pacitto and Jonah Sands. The coaching staff includes Head Coach Tom Pethick, Assistant Coach Jason Semmens, Trainer Brendan Huston and Manager Brian Torrie.
