Hockey Canada and OMHA Confirm 2019-2020 Season is Cancelled
Submitted By Brian Torrie on Saturday, March 14, 2020
Hockey Canada and the OMHA have confirmed full cancellation of the 2019-2020 season.  Please read for further information.

The following statement is a release from the OMHA on Saturday March 14th.

"We know things have moved very quickly since Thursday afternoon. As per the cancellation notices from Hockey Canada, the OHF and the OMHA Executive Officers, ALL hockey functions and activities are cancelled for the 2019-2020 season as of Friday. This includes team rosters. Our national governing body Hockey Canada has withdrawn sanctioning for ALL activities and ALL events under their jurisdiction in the country including insurance (if a team official goes ahead books something, they/you are no longer insured as of yesterday - March 13). Questions have been asked:  What are “Hockey Canada sanctioned activities”? Hockey Canada/Member-sanctioned activities include all games, playoffs, try-outs, practices, camps, team activities, programs and Provincial, Regional and National Championships. All Clinics are cancelled, meetings are on hold, suspensions are held in abeyance, and Discipline Hearings have been postponed (temporarily cancelled).

Spring tryouts are also suspended indefinitely until further notice."

The OMHA now has a general information page on the OMHA website for all communications regarding COVID-19:
