Letter from the President Murray Shanks
It is with many emotions that I am writing this letter to the BMHA membership, after a 16-year run as the president of the BMHA, I submitted my resignation on Sunday at the board meeting.
Although it was a sad day for myself to be leaving such a great organization, I have decided to make a move to Alberta with my family.
The BMHA has built its current reputation as a strong well-functioning association based on the volunteers that step up every year to make hockey fun and exciting for all the young boys and girls that play the game. Without all the volunteers the association would not be the hockey capital of central Ontario and it has been my honor to be part of this team.
The association has a good plan and programming, and it is in good hands to keep moving forward. I will miss all the friends that I have made over the last 25 years that I have been involved with the BMHA. I will miss going out on any given night and watching minor hockey games and speaking with parents, players and the volunteers of the BMHA.
All the best in the future,
