Barrie Colts Peewee AE Win the Silver Stick
Submitted By Kelly Beamish on Wednesday, January 7, 2015
Over the past weekend the Dr. Bob Stick Repair Peewee AE team went undefeated in 5 games in the 12th Annual Regional Silver Stick Tournament in Alliston.

The Colts had the fans sitting on the edge of their seats in the semi-finals against the home town TNT Tornados.  Barrie was down 3- 2 with only 1:36 left when the Colts scored to tie the game.  The Colts were determined and with only 12 seconds left on the clock they scored again to win, which meant they were now headed to the finals against Orangeville.  In the finals the Barrie Colts made it quite clear that they wanted the covenant Silver Stick title and when the final buzzer went the Colts were victorious with an 8 – 2 win over the Orangeville Flyers.  The team will now head to Pelham, Ontario in a week to represent the area in the International Silver Stick.  A special thanks to our AP Brody Young for stepping up to help the team with some great hockey this weekend.
