Novice AE Participates in Coach4Food Drive
Submitted By Jill Robertson on Friday, January 8, 2016
“It’s amazing what you can accomplish when you don’t care who gets the credit.” ~ R.A. Dickey When the Superior Tire & Auto Novice AE Colts said they would join the Coach4Food Challenge and they would bring their A game… well they brought it, weighed it, and WON IT!!

Life lesson learned… when you put your mind to something you can and will prosper, no matter how old you are.  17 young men will relax over the Christmas holidays knowing they helped families in need; families that are faced with hard choices every single day.  Choices between paying rent, buying food or clothes and staying warm.    The challenge itself raised a total of 17, 988 pounds of food!  Seven teams, including the OHL Barrie Colts participated.  We were the first team in the three year history of this event to tip the scales over 4,000 pounds; an accomplishment all on its own.  So for the big reveal… drum roll please… we raised a whopping 8,619 pounds of food!!  Way to go Colts!!!  And yes, the boys are very excited to practice with the OHL Barrie Colts in January!!  Happy New Year to you and yours!!!
