Tyke Team Gold Wins Schomberg Tournament
Submitted By Kelly Beamish on Wednesday, February 24, 2016
Barrie Tyke Gold Team travelled to Schomberg for the Annual Red and White Tyke Tournament on February 14th and 15th, 2016.

The team got off to a strong start beating Bradford 13-0 in their first game.  In their 2nd game the boys played Noble-King and lost a hard fought game 10-7 to the eventual tournament champions.
Team Gold then finished up the round robin play with a 13-0 win over the tournament host Schomberg Red Wings.  With a 2 and 1 record Team Gold qualified for the 'B' Championship game against Georgian Shores, eventually winning 3-2 in a nail bitter.

The boys were crowned the 'B' Champions!

It was a fun weekend for the players, coaches and parents.  All the boys played great and represented Barrie Minor Hockey with pride!

Go Sting!
