Welcome to the 2025-2026 U11B Evaluations!
Greetings Hockey Families.  Welcome to the 2025 BMHA U11 B evaluation process.
In this welcome letter you will find important information regarding your players tryout.  Evaluations begin as your player enters the arena.  Tryouts can be a hard time for both players and parents.  This letter is designed to help players and parents through the process.  Some key items your player will be evaluated on will be skill, work ethic, attitude, hockey sense and ability to take instruction.  Players should show a positive attitude and body language during the process.  Below I have listed some key points regarding the tryout process.

U11 B tryouts will consist of one tryout and one scrimmage.

Tryout:  May 10 @ 2:30 At East Bayfield.  Players will be split into two groups.  Parents will receive an email regarding which group time to attend.  Tryouts will consist of multiple drills run by a third party organization.

Scrimmage:  May 11 @ 2:30 At Allandale.  Players will be split into two teams and will play a game with Officials.

Please Monitor the BMHA website for the most up to date time/dates.

A total of 17 players will be selected for the team.

Player positions are not guaranteed.  Players will be expected to play the position I see as the best fit for the team.

Pinnies are to be picked up and returned before and after each skate.

Parents please monitor the BMHA website for your players tryout number regarding advancement or releases,  as well as your email.

What to expect this Season

Rep hockey is very demanding for both players and parents.  Hockey season is extremely busy playing Rep hockey.  Expect practices and games multiple times per week.  We will be looking into development sessions in addition to our regular schedule.  This can add to our busy hockey schedule and make logistics difficult.  Players are expected to attend all practices,  games and development sessions.

We will be booking three tournaments spread throughout the year.  One of these tournaments will be an AWAY tournament requiring accommodations.

Team Fundraising will constitute a portion of our team budget.

Playoff Games and practices often take place during  the March break.  Please take note of this and plan accordingly.

A MANDATORY parent meeting will be held shortly after the team has been selected.  I will confirm and send out a date ASAP.

I will be reaching out regarding Volunteer Positions for this team shortly after the team is selected.  Mandatory Positions to be filled are a Trainer,  a team Manager as well as an Assistant coach.

Best of luck during tryouts.

Coach Ken Biron
