Who on Tsunami is going to break that record?
Fact 2 - Barrie Tsunami's 3rd game of the tournament will be played at the fabled Galt Arena Gardens. There are two amazing facts about this building that the locals are very proud of.
First - Mr. Hockey himself, Gordie Howe played there. We might even see a full-sized mural of the Hall of Famer hanging in the building as a reminder. Other notable NHLers that laced them up here include Red Kelly, Howie Meeker, Terry Sawchuk, Bobby Hull, Marty Turco and Todd Harvey.
And second - no other indoor rink anywhere in the world has been in continuous operation longer (according to Kristina Rutherford from Sportsnet anyway). Was built in 1921 and never a hockey season missed!
