A - PeeWee Blue - Regional Silver Stick Champions
Submitted By Lisa Barnes on Wednesday, December 06, 2017
The Superior Tire and Auto Peewee A team returned home from a very successful weekend at the Sudbury Regional Silverstick clinching their final game in a 2-1 thriller against the Wawa Travellers.

The Colts went 4-0 in the round robin portion and defeated the Nickel City Flyers 4-2 in the semi-final. In the final game, the boys dominated puck possession, zone time and shots but trailed Wawa 1-0 with under four minutes to play.  They tied the game with just over three minutes left.  A late penalty left the Barrie team shorthanded for the rest of the third period. With 25.3 seconds remaining, the Colts netted the shorthanded game winner.

The boys never let up, they were inspired, tenacious, hardworking and confident. A very proud weekend for our boys and their families.

Congratulations boys, own the moment.  Always Earned….Never given!!!

The team will travel to Port Huron, Michigan from 11014 January to complete in the International Silverstick Finals.
