Silver in Montreal!!!
Once again a big congratulations go out to the Mom's Restaurant Atom AA Colts as they captured the silver medal this weekend at the Montreal Can Am Hockey Tournament.
The team came out swinging versus the Boston Junior Terriers AAA program with a 6-1 win, setting the table for the remainder of round robin play. The second win was earned against a fast paced select travel team from Laval in a tight 2-0 finish. Finally the third victory the Colts produced came from beating a strong AAA Islanders Hockey Club from Landover, Massachusetts with a score of 3-1.
The next day the Colts found themselves in a rematch with the speedy Islanders in the gold medal game. Although the Colts put on an exhilarating performance in what ended up being a sudden death overtime, the final score ended up 2-1 in favor of the Islanders.
The Colts should be proud of their efforts and their level of class as they represented the city of Barrie with pride. They will remember a weekend full of new experiences like the Canadiens game, Old Montreal, and alot of awesome hockey!!
