Jamie Pope

Jamie Pope – Head Coach As a coach, I bring a lifelong dedication to athlete development and over three decades of elite coaching experience to my role as Head Coach. I am a proud honors graduate of Seneca College’s Advanced Coaching Techniques program and hold Coach 3 and Club Pro 3 certifications through Tennis Canada, along with an NCCP Level 3 certification. I’ve spent 32 years coaching in private club settings while also managing both national and international athletic programs. My background includes extensive experience in player development, sport psychology, and high-performance training. While my primary coaching career has been in tennis, my passion for hockey led me to begin coaching youth hockey programs in Barrie in 2021. Since then, I’ve coached tournament and summer development teams across the U11 to U13 age groups. As a former collegiate hockey player, I bring strong technical knowledge, a team-first philosophy, and a deep commitment to helping every athlete grow both on and off the ice. At the core of my coaching approach is a belief in creating an environment where athletes can have fun, work hard, and compete with purpose. I value discipline, sportsmanship, and leadership—not just in the game, but in everyday life. By combining passion for sport with life lessons that extend far beyond the rink, I aim to help shape confident, respectful, and responsible young athletes.×

Ryan Damen

My name is Ryan Damen and have had the honor of serving as a head coach for the past 25 years, including over a decade with BMHA. I am also both a D1 certified coach as well as a NCCP Certified Coach Evaluator.  In my professional life, I am fortunate enough to be able to coach everyday and serve as Director of Athletics and Chair of Guidance at St. Joseph's Catholic High School.×
