The U9 Gold Team rallied together their friends, neighbors, and family to collect donations for the Barrie Food Bank. On December 1st the Barrie Colts U9 Gold Team met at the Barrie Food Bank with 267lbs of donations collected during the month of November. They had a tour of the facilities, they sorted the goods, swept the warehouse and organized the boxes.
"In years past people in our community have dealt with food insecurities, but now we are in a full-blown food crisis".
We hope that our community outreach will inspire other teams to join together to fight hunger in our community too.
