Timbit Orange Crushers Game Summary - 04 Jan
Solid game boys!

And we have a team!  I'm super proud of the boys and how well they are playing as a team.  It's not only the boys that score the goals that contribute to a win, but everyone putting in their best effort and applying what the coaches have been teaching them - and our boys are doing it in spades!

We dominated much of the game today.  We excelled at keeping the puck in the other teams end and only had a handful of defensive collapses.  The way the boys are playing (actually playing hockey!) I need to keep reminding myself that they are only seven!  Everyone is certainly remembering my two rules: try your best and have fun - and it certainly is fun to win too!

Honourable mentions today go out to the following boys:
- Madden - who played a solid game in net, stopping all attempts but two break aways!  Great game Madden!
- Alex - who had an all-around impressive game positionally, working hard every shift and making some great defensive zone and neutral zone plays!
- Lundon - who, despite being our offensive force, netting five of our goals today, made several outstanding back-checks to stop potential break-aways!

We had one of our boys get his FIRST goal today - Mitchell!  Mitchell has put in his best effort every game and it was nice to see it pay off with a puck in the net today.  Congratulations Mitchell, keep up the hard work!

Our player of the game today was Cole.  Cole was digging all game and came really close today to another goal!  Keep up the good work Cole!

Thanks again to Connor's mom for this week's photo's.

Enjoy your week off parents!

Each sponsored team is supplied with Timbits Minor Sports jerseys or T-shirts.
