Minor Bantam, 2014-2015, AA (Barrie Minor Hockey)

The Acchione Bros. Minor Bantam AA Team capped off an incredible 80 game season with a convincing sweep of the Caledon Hawks to become the 2014-15 OMHA Champions. Highlights of the Colts season also included an International Silver Stick title as well as three other tournament victories. Congratulations boys - a season to remember!

The Acchione Bros. Minor Bantam AA Colts celebrate after winning the International Silver Stick Tournament in Newmarket, Ontario. The team battled hard all weekend and earned the right to the prestigious title with decisive victories over the #1 US ranked team (USA Eagles), the #3 US ranked team (Oakland Jr. Grizzlies) and the #4 US ranked team (Saginaw Spirit). In the final, the boys rallied twice from a one goal deficit to defeat the hometown Newmarket Redmen 3-2. This is the team's third tournament victory in the past 4 weeks and fourth for the year. Great job boys!

The Barrie Colts Minor Bantam AA Acchione Bros. team celebrate after winning the 20th annual Moose Winooski's Glen Bellerby Tournament. The team went undefeated for the entire tournament and in doing so, outscored their opponents 30-6. This is their third tournament championship of the season. Up next is the International Silver Stick. Good luck to the boys!

The Minor Bantam AA Acchione Bros. Barrie Colts qualified for the International Silver Stick by winning their Regional Qualifier during the holidays. In the semi-final, the team defeated TNT 1-0 in double OT and in the final, they defeated Whitby 2-1 in OT. A thrilling day indeed! Way to go boys!
