Adam Keunen Memorial Classic Champions!
Submitted By Scott Srigley on Monday, October 16, 2017
Congratulations to The Penalty Box Bantam AE team for taking gold in Grimsby.

The competition was fierce from the beginning.  The Colts won their first game 2-1 against a tough Caledon Hawks team.  Showing true discipline and sportsmanship in their second game, they beat the Woolwich Wildcats 6-0.  After winning 5-1 against the Flamborough Sabres it was on to the semi's against Centre Wellington.  It was a tight game right to the end until the Colts were able to put in two empty netters to win 4-1.  The final game was now set...the Caledon Hawks would get their rematch.  The first period proved to be scoreless as the two teams battled it out.  Finally, two minutes into the second period, the colts put the puck into the back of the net!  But...the Caledon Hawks fought back and tied it up less than a minute later.  Towards the end of the second the colts scored again and took the lead.  Into the third, the Colts scored one more goal and held off the Hawks to take the championship 3-1.  What a great experience for the players and families! Go Colts Go!
