CHAMPIONS in Cambridge!
Congratulations to the Springwater Child Care Centre Minor Bantam MD Barrie Colts on winning the Cambridge MD Festival Tournament this past weekend!

The team started out with two wins on Friday Nov 9th defeating Halton Hills 3-2 and then North Durham 4-2.  Saturday's first game against a very strong Waterloo Wolves ended with a 0-4 loss.  The boys then turned out a convincing win on saturday night against the tournament host team the Cambridge Hawks with shutout from goaltender Aidan Mulhall with a 7-0 win.  These efforts earned the boys a spot in the championships on Sunday.

The championship game proved to be an epic display of true character, discipline and amazing teamwork from our boys as we faced the strong Waterloo Wolves again.  Being giving the second chance to prove ourselves with this rematch opportunity the boys displayed championship focus by scoring first and gaining momentum building an early 3-0 lead.  The Wolves then lived up to their reputation by clawing back into the game and getting within 1 goal of us.  The game went on to be our very best display of true teamwork, championship focus and exceptional hard work making this our most memorable hockey game in our team's history.  The game ended with a well deserved 5-4 win for our Barrie Colts who include Aidan Mulhall, Owen Rooney, Austin Johnston(Absent), Matthew Simon, David Barnes, Jayden Roles, Owen Szozda, Kohl Glanville, Samuel Meyer, Regan Korczynski, Diego Cruces, Kaleb Seaman, Owen Gadd, Justin Miller, Ben Murphy, Evan Sosnowich, Dayton MacMillian, Tavish Brittain(AP) with bench staff Lisa Barnes(Manager), Ron Korczynski(Trainer), Larry Meyer, Lance Sosnowich(Assistant Coaches) and Chris Glanville(Head Coach).

Thank-you to our families for all their support over the weekend with a notable thanks to Stacie Miller for organizing the great Saturday Afternoon Meal.  We appreciate your amazing support and contributions to the team who we are so very proud of!

Well Done Champions!!!
