Welcome & Tryout Information Letter

Dear Players and Parents,

Welcome to the 2025-2026 Barrie Colts U14 AA hockey season tryouts! My name is Pat Corrado, and I am excited to introduce myself as the Head Coach for this upcoming season.

I’m a proud Barrie native with a lifelong passion for hockey. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of playing at both the A and AAA levels in minor hockey, followed by Junior A and Junior C hockey. I also have experience officiating at the OHL, University and National levels. For the past three seasons, I’ve coached AAA hockey at the U12, U15, and U16 levels, and I am committed to continuing a high standard of development and competition.

As a non-parent coach, my goal is to create a positive, competitive environment focused on player development, accountability, and team culture. This season, I plan to carry a roster of 9 forwards, 6 defensemen, and 2 goaltenders. Throughout the year, the team will participate in four competitive tournaments, in addition to regular league play and playoffs.

Development is a key focus of our program. We will incorporate skill development sessions regularly into our schedule to help players grow individually and as a team.

I look forward to meeting each and every one of you during the tryouts and am excited to get started. Let’s have a great tryout and build something special together this season.
