Day one started out like any other typical business
travel day at the airport. A 4 hour flight delay which resulted in a
missed connector flight. The only silver lining here was that the missed connector
flight was in Reykjavic Iceland. Not to bad of place to get stuck for a
day. Interesting to that Iceland was
warmer than back home, todays high -2C.
We had lots of tired boys who never slept on the plane and had been up for over 24 straight hours today. Most of them finally crashed around 5pm local time here and I can only imagine a few of them right now staring at the ceiling not being able to get back to sleep.....
Our flight to Helsinki leaves at 7:30am and with our hotel being an hour away from the airport we need to leave at 4am. It should be another interesting day ahead for this group with our first exhibition game.
All for now from Reykjavic.
Leaving Toronto
After a 4 hour flight delay, 5 1/2 hour flight across 5 times zone to find out we missed our connector.
