PeeWee, 2017-2018, AA (Barrie Minor Hockey)

After eliminating the TNT Tornadoes in four games, and the first place Newmarket Redmen also in four, the Colts eliminated a feisty Kingston Canadiens team, beating them 3 games to 1. This set the stage where the Colts would have the unenviable task of being the first team in three years to take the OMHA crown back from the Milton Winterhawks. 

The Barrie Colts PeeWee AA team came to play in a tough Show Your AA Game tournament in Pickering last weekend. With tough competition from some of the top-ranked AA teams from the GTHL and OMHA, Head Coach Jeremy Brown was pleased with the team’s effort by never trailing in any of the six games they played, except for 5 minutes in game two. 

The PeeWee AA Colts amassed an impressive 27 goals for while only allowing 7 goals against in the Rochester Invitational Tournament. Article by J. Richardson
