Peewee AA Win Halifax Tournament
Congratulations to the Peewee
AA team on their second tournament win of the season.
The team travelled
to Halifax to take part in the Jordan Boyd Memorial Tournament held in Bedford,
Nova Scotia. This tournament was renamed in 2013 in memory of Jordan Boyd
who tragically died while playing hockey, after suffering cardiac arrest.
The boys were able to meet with Stephen and Deborah Boyd, who were deeply moved
that the team travelled so far to take part in the tournament honouring their
son.
The team finished the round robin tournament with a 4-0-0 record and prevailed in the finals against the Halifax Hawks by a score of 4-0.
It was a great experience for the boys to travel to the east coast, take in a Halifax Mooseheads game, and enjoy some of the local attractions and cuisine.
Great work Colts!
