U11, 2022-2023, Select (Barrie Minor Hockey)

The U11 Select Colts had their first game at Sadlon and they didn't disappoint!!  They hosted the Bradford Bulldogs.

The U11 Select Colts travelled to Orangeville on Friday, January 6th.   This was the first time for most of the team playing in Orangeville so the team arrived early and ready to play. At puck drop you could tell the rust had been broken off from the Christmas Break as they scored 4 goals in the first period.  For the rest of the game it was a tighter game and the final score ended up at 5-0. The Colts will host Orangeville in March and looking forward to the rematch!

The U11 Select Colts went to Collingwood for their first game of 2023.  

The U11 Select Colts had their first game on December 10th at 5:30pm at Allandale Blue Rink.  The stands were packed with anxious fans waiting to see how the Colts would do.  It took about 6 minutes for the colts to break through the Newmarket defense and ended the first period at 1-0.  The second period was a different story where the colts exploded for 6 goals and ended the period at 7-0.  The third period was a well played period, but the Newmarket goalie was very solid and the game ended up 7-0. The Colts will travel to Newmarket on Sunday December 11th at 4:30pm for a rematch.

The first practice of the season took place on Wednesday, November 9th at 5pm and was a great success.  All players received their sweaters and socks for the season!  Sweaters are now having their name panels added and will be ready for our first game of the season on December 10th against Newmarket!!
