Colts hard work pays off in round 2 !
The colts finished their second round series against TNT on Sunday night with a 2-1 win and a 7 points to 3 points series victory.

No one was surprised that every game in this series was close after they way they played each other in the regular season.

Game 1 saw the Colts come out on top by a score of 2-0 when the series started in TNT.  Owen Kellachan had the shutout.

Game 2 had the Colts back at home and with an empty net goal, they held a 2 game lead after a 4-2 win.

Game 3 remained in Barrie and special teams were the difference as TNT pulled out a 2-1 win.

Game 4 was back to TNT and the Colts looked again to finish off the series.  While the Colts came back twice in the game, they could not get the game winner and finished with a 3-3 tie.

Game 5 was Sunday night in TNT and the Colts scored first to put the pressure back on TNT.  TNT responded and tied the game but a late goal in the 3rd gave the Colts the lead and the eventual 2-1 win.

This series had some great hockey by both teams.  For the Colts, both Owen Kellachan and Michael Brassor were outstanding in net, having direct impact on the wins (and tie) in each game.  Ryan Connick had a 2 goal game in the 4-2 win and the series winning goal in game 5.  Grady Burke continued his 'Phil Kessel' like playoff performance with clutch goals throughout the series.  Crossley Stewart had an impact on each game and was a big reason for the tie and important point in game 4.

The list truly goes on as each and every player on the roster had a positive impact and role in the win and the team depth was impressive.

The league finals and OMHA 1/4's start this Friday night in Newmarket.  This will be a big test as Newmarket led the way with a first place finish during the regular season.  The Colts will be back to a full and healthy lineup for one of the few times this year, which will allow them to leave it all on the ice !!!

Bring it boys and let's keep this going !!
