Minor Midget Blue, 2017-2018, A (Barrie Minor Hockey)

Last weekend the Minor Midget A Blue team took to the ice to compete in the International Silver Stick tournament in Newmarket.  Teams from across Canada and the US came to play for this coveted title, banner and of course stick.  Our group had teams from Edmonton, Colorado, Texas, Pennsylvania, New York and Ontario regional winners.

Minor Midget A teams, the Scotiabank Orillia Terriers and Paul Sadlon’s Barrie Blue had a game in Barrie on Mon Dec 18th at which the teams decided to shot for a different goal by collecting food for Barrie’s Food Bank.  In total the teams collected 499 pounds of food to help meet the needs in Barrie.

The Paul Sadlon Minor Midget A Blue team are helping to bring Christmas to some less fortunate teens in Barrie. The players decided to forgo a gift exchange this year to donate to Christmas Cheer.  The parents added to the effort in lieu of giving gifts to the coaches.  We as a "hockey team family" are so fortunate and to be able to help bring Christmas Cheer to a few more people is wonderful!
